BIO
Art is a universal language that transcends words, weaving emotions and stories that touch the soul and inspire change. As an artist, educator, and innovator, I am driven to harness this power to create immersive, meaningful experiences that preserve cultural heritage, foster emotional healing, and drive societal impact.
With a Master’s in Fine Arts (CGPA 4.0) and over a decade of experience in creative direction, 3D artistry, and tertiary-level education, I blend traditional fine arts—drawing, painting, sculpting, and photography—with cutting-edge technologies like hyper-realistic 3D modeling, virtual reality (VR), and AI-driven storytelling. As Creative Head at Jamuna Group, I led transformative branding campaigns for major brands, boosting visibility by 30% through strategic visual communication. My freelance CG artistry, serving clients like Unilever and Samsung, has honed my expertise in Maya, ZBrush, and Unreal Engine, enabling me to craft dynamic, immersive environments.
My two decades as a competitive esports player, recognized globally since 2005, have shaped my approach to interactive design. By mastering game mechanics and founding Bangladesh’s Fighting Game and Esports Community, I’ve organized tournaments and mentored aspiring gamers, fostering a vibrant creative ecosystem. As an educator, I’ve trained over 500 underprivileged students in graphic design and 3D modeling, empowering them to thrive as freelancers and designers.
Personal loss—the passing of my daughter, Melissa—has deepened my commitment to art as a tool for healing. My work explores VR’s therapeutic potential, creating emotionally adaptive experiences that honor memories and cultural narratives. At Texas A&M’s PhD program in Visual Computing and Interactive Technology, I aim to pioneer innovative game designs and VR/AR systems that preserve Bangladesh’s rich heritage while addressing global challenges like grief recovery.
My mission is to build a world-class CG research lab in Bangladesh, blending traditional aesthetics with digital innovation to empower underrepresented artists and amplify cultural stories. Through art, technology, and education, I strive to create a legacy that inspires, heals, and transforms lives for generations to come.

Art, for me, is not just a profession—it’s a language of the soul. It’s how I make sense of the world, process emotions, and connect with others on a profound level. I believe that art has the power to heal, inspire, and transform, and this belief is at the core of everything I create.
My work is driven by a desire to bridge the gap between the past and the future. Through traditional fine art with CG, I aim to preserve cultural heritage, bringing historical figures and artifacts to life in ways that resonate with modern audiences. Through virtual reality (VR) and immersive storytelling, I aim to explore how technology can help us process grief, celebrate diversity, and foster empathy. And through game design, I aim to craft experiences that entertain, educate, and inspire players to see the world in new ways.
Beyond the technical and creative aspects, my work is deeply rooted in a belief in the transformative power of education. By merging traditional fine arts with cutting-edge technologies, I hope to empower the next generation of artists and creators, especially in underrepresented communities. My dream is to establish a world-class CG studio and research center in Bangladesh, where young talents can learn, innovate, and contribute to the global creative industry.
In the end, I do what I do because I believe that art is a force for good. It’s a way to challenge norms, spark conversations, and drive positive change. Whether I’m sculpting a 3D model, designing an immersive VR experience, or teaching a workshop, my goal is always the same: to create work that touches hearts, inspires minds, and leaves a lasting legacy.
My Journey Through Competitive Gaming
I have been playing competitive fighting games such as The King of Fighters and the Street Fighter series for more than two decades, and I have developed a thorough understanding of game mechanics, frame data, complex combos, hitboxes, input systems, bugs, and character matchups. I have devoted a significant portion of my life to competitive gaming, often practising for 12–16 hours each day during tournament seasons. Since 2005, I have earned a reputation as one of the top fighting game players, recognized by my participation in highly competitive online clans such as GGPO, Steam and YZKOF, which consist of top players from across the globe read more
CG Projects and Literature Study
In my observation, only about 5-7% of CG artists can create lifelike 3D likenesses or digital avatars that genuinely capture characters' emotions and fine photographic details. A genuine portrait does more than just provide a high-quality visual output; it brings out the subject's inner emotions and personality. Despite significant advancements in VR, AR, AI, 3D modelling, digital sculpting, 3D scanning, and numerous advanced software tools and graphic engines over the past decade, very few artists can produce super high-quality 3D likenesses. While AI and tools like Meta Human in Unreal Engine 5 offer some automation, they still cannot match the ability of a traditional oil painter or sketch artist who can accurately recreate a person’s likeness based on a description alone. read more

Personal Statement and Research Vision
In the cruel grip of the coronavirus pandemic, I was faced with the enormous responsibility of caring for my cancer-survivor pregnant wife, who is also physically disabled, and my ailing mother, who was suffering from kidney failure. The lockdown made matters worse, as I mourned the loss of beloved friends and family members without being able to say our final goodbyes. As an artist, I tried to preserve their memories in my artwork, but I quickly realized that my current painting and 3D skills were insufficient to capture their true character and express my inner emotions. read more
My Fine Arts Journey Through Resilience, Loss, and Purpose
Growing up in Mymensingh, Bangladesh, near the picturesque Brahmaputra River, I was surrounded by a family legacy of academic excellence. My father, mother, and grandfather were all highly educated, and many of my siblings and cousins pursued prestigious careers in medicine, engineering, and the military. It was expected that I would follow a similar path. However, my passion for art was undeniable, even as I initially enrolled in a Bachelor of Business Administration program to meet family expectations. Despite societal norms and family pressures, I made the bold decision to switch to fine arts, a courageous step in a society where a career in the arts is often undervalued. read more
